石塚元太良　 1977年生まれ、写真家。10代の頃から世界を旅行し始め、1999年バックパッカー旅行をしながらアフリカを縦断し、アジアを縦断しながら撮影した『Worldwidewonderful』でエプソンカラーイメージングコンテスト大賞。2002年、世界を東回り西回りで2周しながらデジタル画像の位相を撮影した『Worldwidewarp』でヴィジュアルアーツフォトアワード、日本写真家協会新人賞を受賞。2006年、アラスカのパイプラインを追いかけるように撮影したシリーズ『Pipeline Alaska』の展覧会と同名写真集が話題となる。2011年度文化庁在外芸術家派遣。2012年春、アイスランドのSIMレジデンシーに招聘されて、地熱エネルギーを都市へ運ぶパイプラインの撮影制作をおこなう。来夏には、パイプラインプロジェクトの新しい写真集を刊行予定。また2013年9月にはアイスランドのレイキャビック写真美術館で展覧会が開催される。パイプライン、氷河、ゴールドラッシュなどの特定のモチーフで独自のランドスケープを世界中で撮影し続ける彼のスタイルは、コンセプチュアル・ドキュメンタリーとも評されて、ドキュメンタリーとアートの間を横断するように、時事的な話題に対して独自のイメージを提起している。

Gentaro Ishizuka Born in 1977, he is a photographer.
